Gas Prices Plunge Below $2 Per Gallon In Naperville

Yes, you read that right.

NAPERVILLE, IL --- If you're cruising through Naperville and see a sign advertising gas prices that are below $2 a gallon, don't pinch yourself. It's the real deal. Unleaded gas prices have plummeted as low as $1.81 per gallon in Naperville, according to Gas Buddy, so if you need to fill your tank, now's the time to do it.

Here's a list of where you can buy gas for less than $2 a gallon in Naperville, so you can map out your route to buy gas on the cheap. The following prices are as of 12 p.m. on Dec. 4.

It's been nearly two years since gas prices were this low throughout the greater Chicago area, according to Chicago Tribune. What's the reason for this seemingly fantastical fuel miracle? Oil supplies have gone up, but demand has gone down, experts say.

Snag the less than $2 a gallon fuel while you can, though, as OPEC may soon opt to limit production. Nevertheless, Chicago Tribune reports that prices should stay under $3 a gallon for awhile.
