George W. Bush to Visit Naperville Monday for Book Signing

43rd president will be at Anderson's Bookshop at 2 p.m. to sign copies of "A Portrait of My Father."

George W. Bush will visit Naperville Monday, appearing at 2 p.m. at Anderson’s Bookshop, 123 W. Jefferson St. to sign copies of his book, “A Portrait of My Father.”

“We met with the Secret Service on Monday to discuss the details of his visit,” Becky Anderson told Chicago Tribune Media, saying the event was put together just this week. “We’re not holding this at North Central College as we often do for large events, as the president doesn’t intend to speak but will only be doing a book signing.”

The book is a biography of his father, President George H.W. Bush. Visitors with a book or purchasing a book to be signed will get a wristband and can begin lining up at noon. Security restrictions will be in place, similar to airport screening.
