NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville Fire Department officials say grilling items that were improperly disposed of are to blame for a fire that broke out in the 1600 block of Lois Ann Lane Thursday evening.

Firefighters were called to the scene just before 7 p.m. for a report of a fire at a two-story wood-framed home. Fire was found to be coming from the rear of the home and into the attic, causing damage to the home's interior. It took fire crews 15 minutes to extinguish the blaze.

All three residents made it out of the home uninjured, but the home was deemed uninhabitable.
