Groundbreaking Ceremony Held For New Naper Settlement Welcome Center
The Innovation Gateway welcome center will feature ADA-accessible features and a digital wall showcasing images of the area's history.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A groundbreaking ceremony was held July 17 to kick off construction on the Innovation Gateway at Naper Settlement. The 5,150 square foot welcome center will have ADA-accessible features and an interactive digital wall that displays images and documents showcasing the area's rich history.
State Rep. Janet Yang Rohr (D-Naperville) and State Sen. Laura Ellman (D-Naperville) were in attendance at the groundbreaking, which included a reception and a presentation about Innovation Gateway.
"The Innovation Gateway is designed to orient and engage guests while expanding the museum’s
content to represent Naperville in the 20th and 21st centuries and place its local history in context with state and national narratives," a news release said.
