Guy The Cat Reunited With Owner After 3 Years Missing: Naperville PD

The orange cat went missing nearly three years ago near Fox Valley Mall in Aurora.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A cat that disappeared three years ago near Fox Valley Mall in Aurora has been reunited with its owner, Naperville police shared Tuesday.

The Naperville Police Department's animal control officers recently trapped a cat at a residence in the city. The cat was Guy, who not only had a microchip, but it was also registered with the owner, Kim.

"Because of that, Guy was successfully reunited with Kim after three long years away," police shared on Facebook.

Police used the happy occasion to remind pet owners to microchip their furry friends and keep the information up to date.

"[It] is critical if your pet ever goes missing," police said.
