Ice Rinks Aim To Open Dec. 15 In Naperville For 2022-23 Season
The Naperville Park District features ice rinks for skating and hockey that are set to open Dec. 15, if weather permits

NAPERVILLE, IL — It's time to dust off those ice skates, as the Naperville Park District's ice rinks prepare to open for the 2022-23 season. The rinks will open Dec. 15, if weather permits.
There are several ice rinks located throughout the Naperville Park District, three of which have lighting, which means they can be open for longer hours.
The lighted ice rinks, open until 10 p.m., are at the following locations:

- Centennial Park, 500 W. Jackson Ave.
- Nike Sports Complex, 288 W. Diehl Rd.
- Wolf's Crossing Community Park, 3252 Wolf's Crossing Rd.
Ice rinks that do not have lighting close one hour after sunset and can be found at the following locations:
- Meadow Glens, 1303 Muirhead Ave.
- Gartner Park, 524 W. Gartner Rd.
Centennial Park features two boarded rinks that welcome hockey and broomball playing.

The Naperville Park District's ice rinks are natural and are dependent on extreme cold (consistently 15 degrees or less) before they can open for use.
Residents can click the link to check if ice rinks are open or call the Rainout Line at 630-883-4242. Green flags will be posted if the ice rinks are open and red flags will be posted if the rinks are closed.
The ice skating season is set to close on Feb. 15, depending on weather.
