Joliet Contractor Wanted in DuPage County for Theft by Deception

Hisel allegedly left two families with unfinished work and debt.

Police in Will, Grundy and DuPage County are all asking the same question: Where is Joseph M. Hisel?

Hisel, a Joliet contractor, is facing multiple theft and fraud charges and now has arrest warrants out for him.

According to a report from ABC 7, Hisel “left two Joliet families with unfinished basements and thousands of dollars in debt. They hired him through his business, JH Carpentry.”

It’s also alleged that in Grundy County, Hisel took $5,000 to build and install a fence, but didn’t do any of the work. He also didn't show up for his court date

In DuPage County, Hisel was sentenced to 60 days in jail on a theft by deception charge, but never turned himself in.
