Juveniles, Man Charged With Car Burglaries In Naperville: Police

The burglaries were reported in the 600 block of Spring Avenue and the 1600 block of Smokey Court.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Two juveniles and a man have been charged in connection with a string of recent car burglaries in Naperville, according to the Naperville Police Department.

Police say the juveniles were arrested Sept. 3 after an Aug. 13 incident in which they were seen opening the doors of unlocked cars in the 600 block of Spring Avenue. The juveniles were both charged with felony burglary and released into the custody of their parents.

On Aug. 29, William W. Brown, 44, of Chicago, was arrested after police say he was found breaking into cars in the 1600 block of Smokey Court. Police say Brown was found with stolen items in his possession.

Brown was charged with burglary, resisting a peace officer, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say Brown was taken to DuPage County Jail and released on a recognizance bond.
