Sometime around 2:30 a.m. July 12, 2013, Parra and two others kicked in the door of his former girlfriend’s home in the 1300 block of South Glen Circle in Aurora, according to court records.

Prosecutors said that Parra and his accomplices moved upstairs to the woman’s bedroom and demanded cash. After grabbing money and her cell phone, Parra took a hammer and struck her in the leg.

Parra’s pals discovered a second victim asleep on a sofa in a different room and forcibly grabbed her cell phone. Parra also hit the second victim with the hammer and the trio fled, court records said.

During the home invasion, Parra was wearing a bandana over the lower part of his face. His former girlfriend was still able to recognize him. Prosecutors said that his accomplices’ faces were masked with T-shirts.

Parra will receive credit for the 463 days that he has spent in the Kane County Jail since his arrest.
