
NAPERVILLE, IL — No injuries were reported in a Naperville house fire Wednesday morning.
According to the Naperville Fire Department, a passerby called in at 11:20 a.m. to report flames coming from the second floor of a two-story home in the 3400 block of White Eagle Drive.
The first arriving unit reported flames coming from the eaves at the front of the building. Fire crews quickly confirmed all occupants were out of the building and initiated an aggressive fire attack. Crew members said the fire was mainly confined to the exterior of the structure. As the incident progressed fire extension was noted to the roof. The fire was brought under control within ten minutes of the fire department’s arrival and completely extinguished within thirty minutes. Crews remained on the scene for an additional thirty minutes completing overhaul and determined the fire started on the outside of the building in an exterior lighting fixture.

There were no injuries to either civilians or firefighters. The extent of the damage is minor in nature and the residence was deemed habitable.
The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
