Live 1920s Music, Costumes To Take Over Water Street

Celebrate the Roaring 20s during a free July 24 event on Water Street in Naperville.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Water Street will transform into a living homage to the 1920s with live music and period costumes for a free Roaring '20s celebration July 24.

Don your best 1920s garb and stroll along Water Street to the tunes of the Pete Ellman Big Band, a local ensemble that plays popular hits from the jazz and swing era. At 4 p.m., the person who wears the best costume will get a Water Street gift package.

The event aims to celebrate Naperville's reopening for a "summer of fun," a news release stated.
