Local Dentist is Hosting a Day of Free Dentistry for those in need!

Helping those in the community who don't have access to dental care.

Naperville, IL – June 10, 2015 – Dr. Thomas Brown is out to change lives by offering free smiles to anyone who needs dental work, as he hosts the latest event for Dentistry From The Heart.

In 2009, Dr. Brown and his team of dentists, sponsors and volunteers helped over 65+ people – treating patients with 123+ fillings, extractions and cleanings (over $23,000 of services). This year’s event promises to be the largest yet, as they expect 100-200 people from the surrounding community.

Dentistry From The Heart (DFTH) is a national non-profit organization with a simple mission – making people smile. Founded in 2001 by a dentist in New Port Richey, Florida, DFTH was created to aid those in need, including the growing population of under-insured Americans. Over 100 million Americans lack dental insurance, and over 29 percent of adults have untreated cavities. Without events like DFTH, oral healthcare simply isn’t an option for many of the uninsured. To date, DFTH has helped over 5,000 patients and provided over $1 million in oral healthcare across the country.

“Now more than ever, I know there’s people out there that need my services, but have no means to afford them – whether they’re out of a job, or just don’t have dental insurance. This Dentistry From The Heart event is my way of giving back to the community, and being there for the people who are in need of dental care,” said Dr. Brown.

The event will take place on June 14th at Dr. Thomas Brown’s Office in Naperville, IL. Starting at 7:00 am, Dr. Brown and his volunteers will treat however many they can service by 2:00 pm.
