Lockport Woman Charged With Stealing Puppy In Naperville

Police say Alicia Johnson-Medrano, 22, hid the Yorkshire terrier puppy in her jacket and left the Petland store.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Lockport woman is facing felony theft charges after police say she stole a Yorkshire terrier puppy from a Naperville Petland store Saturday.

Alicia Johnson-Medrano, 22, is accused of hiding the puppy in her jacket and leaving the store. Johnson-Medrano was arrested outside the store at 720 S Route 59 and taken into custody.

The puppy, valued at $9,900 was safely returned to the store.
