Man, 22, Shot After Verbal Dispute in Naperville: Police

NAPERVILLE, IL — A 22-year-old West Chicago man was shot after a verbal dispute early Thursday morning in Naperville.

A preliminary investigation shows that the victim and four of his friends were involved in a verbal dispute with a Hispanic male in his 20s who was driving through a parking lot in the 1400 block of Fairway Drive at around 1:57 a.m., according to Naperville Police Cmdr. Jason Arres.

During the dispute, the man fired multiple shots and fled the area in a white SUV.

The man was taken to Edward Hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening.
