Man Charged With Attempted Child Abduction In Naperville

Police say Owen M. Calkins, 69, parked at the end of a driveway and told two young girls to "come here."

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Naperville man has been charged with attempted child abduction after police say he tried to get two young girls into his car. Owen M. Calkins, 69, of the 1700 block of Kildeer Drive, was also charged with attempted disorderly conduct in connection with the Aug. 2 incident, according to Daily Herald.

Calkins is accused of parking his car near a driveway and telling a 3-year-old and 5-year-old girl to "come here."

Calkins was charged on Friday and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
