Man Hits Cop Car, Snow Bank Fleeing Burglary In Naperville: Cops
Police say Thaddeus J. Harper stole two bicycles from Mike's E-Bikes on Quincy Street.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A Chicago man faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges in connection with a burglary that took place at Mike's E-Bikes, 1701 Quincy Ave., Naperville. Police say Thaddeus J. Harper drove into a cop car and then a snowbank while attempting to flee the burglary Sunday.
Police say they got to the scene just after 5:45 a.m. to find Harper leaving the bike shop and getting into a moving van. While attempting to flee in the moving van, Harper hit a squad car and then became stuck in a snowbank once he got onto the road, according to a news release.
Harper is accused of breaking the glass on the bike shop's front door to get in, and then loading two bicycles from the shop into the moving van. Police say they recovered the two bicycles, along with "other contraband" that is under investigation.

Harper has been charged with felony burglary, theft and possession of burglary tools. He also faces misdemeanor charges of fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer, reckless driving, possession of drug paraphernalia, resisting or obstructing a peace officer and unlawful use of a weapon.
