Man Sought By Police After Home Invasion, Assault In Naperville

Naperville Police are asking the public for help finding a man for questioning in connection with Friday's incident.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police are asking the public for help finding an Aurora man in connection with a home invasion and assault that took place Friday.

Police were called to an apartment in the 700 block of Inland Circle just after 4:30 a.m. for a report of a break-in. When police got to the scene, the resident told them Joseph C. Rush, born in 1990, who is known to the victim, had broken in, a news release said.

balcony door and then assaulted the resident, who declined medical treatement for injuries that were reported to be minor.

Rush is described as a Black man standing about six feet tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds. A photograph shared by police shows Rush with a goatee. He has black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a puffy black jacket over a white hooded sweatshirt, black sneakers and light-colored, ripped blue jeans.

Police are urging anyone who sees or has seen Rush, or who may have information as to his whereabouts, to call 911.
