Man Stabbed Multiple Times At Gym In Naperville

Police say the victim was stabbed by another man after he confronted him for going through his belongings in the gym's locker room.

NAPERVILLE, IL — A man was stabbed multiple times while he was in the locker room of a gym in the 3000 block of South Route 59 in Naperville Sunday morning.

Police say that around 11:11 a.m., the victim confronted a man who was going through his possessions. The man then used an unknown object to stab the victim in his upper body, according to a news release.

The alleged stabber was last seen heading northbound on foot. Police used K-9s to conduct a search of the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. As of Sunday afternoon, he was in intensive care.

The suspect was described as a black man in his late 50s, standing about six feet tall and weighing around 175 pounds. Police say he has a dark complexion, short gray and black hair and facial hair. He was last seen wearing gray shorts and a dark-colored shirt.
