Median Construction Starts On 95th And Plainfield-Naperville Road

Road construction will narrow traffic to a single lane in either direction for up to three weeks.

NAPERVILLE, IL — With the pleasant arrival of spring comes the not-so-pleasant arrival of annual road construction. Cold weather had previously paused median construction on 95th and Plainfield-Naperville Rd. in Naperville, but crews resumed their work Thursday.

During the construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and will move to outside lanes to accommodate construction on the median. City officials say left turn lanes will remain open.

Crews have been working on a project to improve the intersection since April 2017. The project includes additional turn lanes, street widening, improved stoplights, and an extension of the noise wall along 95th Street.
