Millennium Carillon's Summer Recitals Return To Naperville

NAPERVILLE, IL — Grab your blankets and gather your snacks. It's time for the Millennium Carillon Concert Series to launch its 2023 season. June 6 marked the first show in the series, which spotlights local artists, in addition to performers from across the globe.

Performances will take place on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. on Rotary Hill. The schedule is as follows:

  • June 6: Tim Sleep of Naperville
  • June 13: Ben Wasmuth of Glencoe
  • June 20: Wylie Crawford of Chicago
  • June 27: Dina Verheyden of Belgium
  • July 11: Mathieu Daniel Polak of Amsterdam
  • July 18: Povl Chr. Balslev of Denmark
  • July 25: Katarzyna Takao-Piastowska of Germany
  • Aug. 1: John Lehrer of Michigan
  • Aug. 8: Laura Ellis of Florida
  • Aug. 15: Alex Johnson of Chicago

The carilloneurs will perform music on the 72-bell carillon, spreading beautiful bell-ringing throughout the crowd. The music will also be audible along the Riverwalk.

The concert series returns in 2023 after a hiatus following the tower's 2021 closure for repairs.
