NAPERVILLE, IL — MOM's Organic Produce, an East Coast-based store that sells only certified organic produce and focuses on locally sourced, sustainable, products is set to make its first foray into the Midwest with stores in Naperville and Mount Prospect.

Founded in 1987, the chain has "banned over 250 ingredients" from their shelves and "take[s] into account animal welfare, the environmental and social impact of products," the MOM's website states. Their offerings include sustainably sourced seafood, bulk pasta, coffee, nut butter and kombucha, and dairy products that are hormone free.

As part of its commitment to sustainability, MOM's Organic Produce does not sell bottled water (there are water dispensers in the store), does not sell cereal that targets children and ensures its chocolate and palm oil products are made with fair labor practices.

Shoppers can also buy vitamins and supplements, personal care products and clothing at MOM's. Some stores feature an in-house eatery called Naked Lunch, which serves up vegan and vegetarian fare and organic juice.

It's anticipated the Naperville and Mount Prospect MOM's Organic Produce locations will open by the end of 2026. Patch reached out to MOM's for additional information Monday, but did not receive an immediate response.
