More Than $800 Earned In Pennies For Pies Drive In Naperville

NAPERVILLE, IL — Some 120 pumpkin pies were sold as part of the Naperville Park District's 2022 Pennies for Pies Drive.

The donation drive, which provides pies for residents in need via Loaves and Fishes, kicked off in late October and ran through just before Thanksgiving. Residents donated cash online and at park district facilities to help fund the pie purchases. These donations came to a total of $828.62.

Pennies for Pies marked its 16th year in 2022. The initiative was founded in 2006 and inspired by a lesson shared with local preschoolers about how small donations can add up to make a significant impact to help others.
