Motorcycle Crashes Into Semi Truck In Naperville: Police
One driver was seriously injured and then charged with a DUI.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police are investigating a serious traffic crash in which a motorcycle slammed into the back of a semi truck early Friday. The collision, which led to DUI charges for one driver, took place around 2:41 a.m. near the intersection of 95th St. and Rte. 59.
Police say Mauro Apostoli, 49, of West Chicago, was driving a 2017 Indian Touring northbound on Rte. 59 when his bike struck the rear of a semi-tractor trailer driven by a 45-year-old man from Villa Park. Apostoli was rushed to Edward Hospital with serious injuries.
The intersection of Rte. 59 and 95th was closed until around 8 a.m. as crews worked to reconstruct the accident.

Apostoli has been charged with one count of driving under the influence; the driver of the semi has not been charged. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
