Movie Night, Parties Planned For National Night Out 2022 In Naperville

An outdoor movie night will be held Aug. 1 and parties will be held in neighborhoods in Naperville Aug. 2 to celebrate National Night Out.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Neighborhoods across Naperville will host barbecues and block parties with local police and fire officials present as part of National Night Out on Aug. 2 Leading up to the annual event, families can gather for an outdoor movie night that features a bounce house, free Ben & Jerry's ice cream and more on Aug. 1.

Free Outdoor Movie Aug. 1

Head to Fry Family YMCA, , 2120 95th St, on Aug. 1 to watch a free showing of "Encanto" at 6 p.m. The community movie night will feature a police vehicles, games and a bounce house, in addition to free popcorn and free ice cream from Ben & Jerry's (while supplies last). Food trucks will also be on hand during the event.

A donation drive will be held to benefit DuPage PADS. Attendees are encouraged to donate items for a chance to win a Ring video doorbell or a kids' bicycle.

Throughout Naperville, local police officers, fire officials and representatives from other city organizations will be stopping by events hosted by local neighborhoods for National Night Out. The events, which often include barbecues, block parties and more, will run from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 2.
