Mustering The Troops To Comfort Kids Of Veterans In Need

Every single personal act of kindness is another shining example of how in times of crisis, Americans don't hesitate to be United In Service

Our hearts go out to all who have been affected by COVID-19 as well as to all the brave frontline Health Care Professionals, First Responders and Volunteers, and their families.

Every single personal act of kindness is another shining example of how in times of crisis, Americans do not hesitate to be United In Service: Mustering the Troops to help bring some comfort to the children of veterans who are single parents is one of those examples.

Mustering the Troops is also an example of overcoming the challenges of stay-at-home confinement to do a good deed that will make a difference by being the difference.

Naperville resident, Dr. Jennifer (King) Murray will be mustering troops of crocheted comfort-giving animals to be given to the children of single parent veterans as part of Deerfield Illinois based United Relief Foundation’s Care Comfort Compassion COVID-19 humanitarian aid efforts.

Before Dr. Murray’s troops can serve though, each one will have to pass her daughter Arya’s comfort and cuddle tests.

In this situation, Mustering the Troops is focused on providing some comfort to the children of single mothers, and fathers also, who served in the United States military.

But, similar personal acts of kindness can as easily be for single parents who are Health Care Professionals, First Responders, and Volunteers or even our neighbors.

United Relief Foundation’s service during this crisis is to continue on the best we can, in any way we can, to be a source of hope and help for the most vulnerable veterans, which in some cases include their children also.

With essential volunteers only, and taking personal (and public) safety-first precautions, the United Relief Foundation continues to be of service to Veterans in need.

United Relief Foundation is a 501(c)(3) humanitarian aid organization dedicated to doing the good deeds that make profound lasting differences in the lives of the men and women who served in the United States Armed Forces.
