Naper Pride Will Not Take Place This September: Organizers

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naper Pride will not take place this September, Naper Pride President Margie Wolf told Patch.

The first Naper Pride was held in 2021. The festival does not take place annually, but has traditionally been held in September.

As of September 9, a 2026, information about a Naper Pride event was still live on a website that Wolf told Patch is unrelated to the Naper Pride organization.

Wolf said the decision not to host a Pride event was made in October 2025. She told Patch the organization had applied for a grant from the Special Events and Community Arts (SECA) commission, but withdrew the application once they decided not to hold the event, allowing the funds to be used for other applicants.

Wolf said the decision not to hold Naper Pride in 2026 was so the organization could "reallocate the budget in order to expand our service initiatives in order to better serve our community."
