Naperville Business Makes Face Shields For Hospital Workers
So far, owner Marty Deane said the company has made 500 face shields for local hospital staff.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Marty Deane owns Soundz Plus, a car audio business in Naperville. Deane's business is used to using a laser cutter for their work, but they found a new use in the coronavirus crisis: making plastic face shields for hospital workers.
So far, Soundz Plus has stamped out more than 500 face shields to aid hospital staff in their efforts to keep safe from coronavirus. Deane said Soundz Plus has enough plastic to make hundreds more face shields and plastic clips to help the elastic from masks from hurting workers' ears.
