Naperville Central Claims First Lacrosse State Title
Congrats to the Naperville Central lacrosse team!
The Naperville Central lacrosse claimed its first state title last month, according to the Daily Herald.
The team was named the 2014 Lacrosse Cup Champions following their state championship win at Hinsdale Central High School on May 31, according to the Illinois High School LaCross Association website. Naperville Central beat Warren Township 8-6 in the championship game.
The team was honored Monday by the Naperville Unit District 203 school board on their state title — the first for the team, which has been in existence for more than a dozen years, according to the Daily Herald.
