Naperville Cub Scout Pack 444 Spreads Good Cheer and Goodwill
From Caroling to Seniors to Conducting a Successful Food Drive, This Pack Delivers This Christmas Season!
Youth in Naperville’s Cub Scout Pack 444, chartered by Meadow Glens Home & School Association, spent the month of December demonstrating the leadership and character traits Boy Scouts is known to develop. Scouts in this pack spread joy and good cheer to a group of elders and held a very successful drive to stock Loaves & Fishes Community Services’ (Naperville) food pantry.
On Sunday, December 9, Pack 444 scouts led a Christmas carol sing-along for the residents of Villa St. Benedict retirement community in Lisle, Ill. The caroling performance is a long-standing annual tradition for both groups, dating back at least a decade.
During their visit, the scouts also distributed homemade holiday cards and served refreshments. Several scouts added to the afternoon program by playing musical instruments and telling jokes.

“Our scouting families look forward to this event each year,” said Andy Gorrell, Cubmaster for Pack 444. “We’re grateful to the staff and residents of Villa St. Benedict for welcoming us back.”
In addition to spreading Christmas cheer, Pack 444 worked hard to spread goodwill to local families in need during the month of December. The Cub Scouts conducted a food drive to benefit Loaves & Fishes Community Services. While the Pack’s original goal was to collect 100 pounds of non-perishable food and personal-care items, the Scouts overwhelmingly collected over 250 pounds of food and personal care items just in time for Christmas.
