Naperville Fire Stations Compete To Collect Food, Funds For Residents
The Firehouse Food Fight kicked off Nov. 28, with fire stations throughout the city battling to see who can raise the most donations.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville Professional Firefighters for a Cause (NPFFC) recently kicked off their Firehouse Foodfight, a competition between the city's fire stations to see who can collect the most food and funds to benefit residents in need.
The campaign launched Nov. 28, with the following donation goals:
- 7,500 pounds of food
- 500 personal care items
- 25 Indian Prairie School District 204 "adopt-a-family" commitments
- 1,000 winter clothing items
Each fire station can earn points by collecting the above items, with points designated by a pre-determined system.

The items and donations will benefit Loaves and Fishes, Hesed House, Family Focus and the Indian Prairie Parent Council’s Holiday Giving Program.
NPFFC's Firehouse Foodfight began in 2016. Since its inception, the initiative has collected 31,618 pounds of food, 4,137 winter clothing items and sponsored 36 families via District 204's Adopt-a-Family program.
