Naperville Groups Join Forces To Send Medical Supplies To Ukraine
Five Naperville organizations have partnered up to raise money to send medical supplies to war-torn Ukraine.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Five Naperville-area organizations have joined forced to help raise money to send medical supplies to Ukraine.
Naperville's Sister Cities Commission has been working together with the city's Chamber of Commerce, Edward-Elmhurst Health, KidsMatter and Marquette Companies to provide medical supplies to refugees fleeing parts of Ukraine. Now, they are focusing on delivering those supplies to military hospitals in the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv.
“Members of Naperville’s Sister Cities Commission have been watching the ongoing military invasion in Ukraine with the same shock and helplessness as many in Naperville and around the globe,” Patty Gustin, Naperville City Councilwoman and Representative to the Commission, said in a statement.

Gustin added, “As this ongoing humanitarian crisis evolves, we know one thing will remain in the coming days and week[s]. Ukrainians need our assistance.”
Sister Cities Commissioner Peter Foyo, who is an Honorary Counsel of Ukraine, said in a news release,"We have already begun to send equipment , but every day we get requests for more help. Every little bit helps us secure what is needed so desperately. Please give whatever you can.”

Funds donated to the effort will help provide bandages, gloves, gowns, ultrasound equipment, scalpels, defibrillators and other items that will be used to help care for wounded soldiers. Click the link to make a donation to aid Ukraine.
