Naperville Man Killed In Motorcycle Crash Identified
Authorities have released the name of a 29-year-old motorcyclist killed in a crash near Royce Road and Washington Street Monday.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Authorities have released the identity of a 29-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a crash near Royce Road and Washington Street Monday afternoon.
The man, identified by city police as Roy L. Weil, of Naperville, was pronounced dead at Edward Hospital shortly after the 2007 black Honda motorcycle he was driving was involved in a crash with a 2001 silver Dodge Durango driven by a 54-year-old Bolingbrook woman.
Police are still investigating the fatal crash, but say a preliminary investigation indicates Weil was heading north in the left through lane of Washington Street as the Durango driver, who was heading south on Washington Street, turned east onto Royce Road. The vehicles crashed into each other in the intersection, police said in a news release Monday night.
