NAPERVILLE, IL - A new Metra parking lot is expected to open by mid-May, offering commuters an additional 150 parking spaces. The City of Naperville spent $3.41 million in March to purchase the lot, located near Fifth Avenue and Washington Street.
Before the lot was owned by the city, commuters could rent spaces there for $110 per month, according to the Chicago Tribune. The lot closed in late February to allow the city to patch pavement and add parking lot stripes. It's expected to cost commuters about $5 per day to park in the new and improved lot.
