Naperville Molly's Cupcakes Sells Out Of 1K Cupcakes On First Day
Shop owners said they planned to increase their supply to meet the demand of the cupcake craze.

NAPERVILLE, IL -- If the recent opening of Molly's Cupcakes, 30 W. Jefferson Ave., proved one thing about Naperville residents, it's that they really love cupcakes. The store, which opened at noon on Monday, completely sold out of its stock of 1,000 craft cupcakes in just over two hours, management said in a post on social media.
In the Facebook post, staff at Molly's apologized to customers who waited in long lines, but were unable to sink their teeth into one of the coveted cupcakes. They said they were "overwhelmed with the demand and support for our opening day."
Molly's staff also vowed to increase its cupcake supply to meet up with the overwhelming demand."We sincerely apologize to those in line who were not able to receive a cupcake today, we will strive to bake more and do better tomorrow/this week/year's to come," they wrote.
