Naperville Named Among Best Cities For St. Patrick's Day
The city was named in the top 10 places in the nation to celebrate the Irish-themed holiday.

NAPERVILLE, IL — If you live in Naperville, you already know it's a great place to celebrate St. Patrick's Day, but now the city is getting some national recognition for its St. Paddy's Day pride. Naperville was named 6th in a recent WalletHub study of the Best Cities for St. Patrick's Day Celebrations.
The study weighed factors that included percent of population that is Irish, Irish pubs and restaurants per capita, average beer price, St. Patrick's Day weather forecast and lowest price for a 3-star hotel on St. Patrick's Day. Here's how Naperville fared against other cities in these sub-categories:
- Percent of Irish population: 1st
- Weather forecast for St. Patrick's Day: 3rd
- Average beer price: 7th
- Lowest price for three-star hotel on St. Patrick’s Day: 34th
- Irish pubs and restaurants per capita: 37th
Naperville didn't snag the top spot this year, but the honor of Best City to Celebrate St. Patrick's Day went to a not-so-faroff neighbor. Chicago was ranked #1 for the 2020 study, with Boston following behind in a close second.
