Naperville Native Bryan Kett Performs Original Story Grouper in Virtual 25th Annual Fillet of Solo Festival, Jan. 21-Feb. 13

Naperville native and recognized storyteller Bryan Kett, performs his original piece Grouper in Lifeline Theatre’s 25th Annual Fillet of Solo Festival, running virtually January 21- February 13.

Bryan Kett is an award-winning teacher, writer, and storyteller who splits his time between living in Los Angeles and thinking about Chicago. Kett is no stranger to the world of storytelling. He has been highlighted on The Moth podcast, which broadcasts work from its acclaimed open-mic storytelling competitions, numerous times. Kett has also been featured on SoulPancake and TED.com, two sites that spotlight individuals with ideas worth sharing. His piece Grouper tells the story of a valuable lesson learned on a trip overseas.

Celebrating the breadth of Chicago’s enduring storytelling and live-lit scene, Lifeline virtually brings 10 storytelling collectives and 28 solo performers together from all over the country in a three-week online gallery of powerful, personal stories.

The 2022 Fillet of Solo Festival will stream online via a password-protected website where ticket holders will have access to the full lineup of stories until the Festival concludes. Ticket prices are “Name Your Price” (suggested $45) for access to the gallery for the full three weeks PLUS live virtual extras including panel discussions and storytelling workshops with Festival artists.
