Naperville Parade Of Lights Will Not Take Place In 2026: Reports
Reports cited financial and logistical challenges among the reasons for canceling the annual holiday parade.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville's Holiday Parade of Lights will not take place in 2026, according to multiple reports.
Naperville Community Television (NCTV17) reports that the Rotary Club of Naperville cited high costs and limited returns in its decision to cancel the Parade of Lights.
The event was first presented by Little Friends, Inc., in 2003. Little Friends nearly canceled the Parade of Lights in 2016 amid concerns from local businesses. But the City of Naperville and the Downtown Naperville Alliance worked with the organization to keep the 2016 parade as scheduled.
