At the Naperville Park District’s Park Board meeting on Thursday, September 9, several commissioners raised concerns about what they considered to be disparaging remarks posted by Commissioner Josh McBroom via his personal social media accounts regarding his fellow commissioners and executive director, Ray McGury. By doing so, Commissioner McBroom potentially violated board policies and bylaws while his actions impacted the overall brand and integrity of the Naperville Park District organization.

A consensus of the board directed attorney Derke Price, who also serves as the board ethics officer, to initiate an inquiry into this matter and report back his findings to the park board.
