Naperville Police Arrest 3 For DUI During Thanksgiving Crackdown

Police also handed out dozens of tickets for seatbelt and carseat violations.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police have released the numbers from their recent crackdown on drunk driving and seatbelt violations over the Thanksgiving holiday. Three people were arrested for impaired driving and a total of 57 tickets were issued for seatbelt and child safety seat violations.

Police say they also gave out 17 speeding tickets, four tickets for driving without insurance, and two tickets for driving with a suspended or revoked license.

The crackdown, which is part of the statewide Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over and Click It or Ticket campaigns, ran from Nov. 22 through Dec. 2. Police say they put extra emphasis on patrols during late-night hours when people are more likely to die from unbuckled seatbelts or impaired driving.
