Naperville Seeks Students To Serve On City Boards, Commissions
The City of Naperville seeks high school students to serve on the downtown advisory committee, the Riverwalk Commission, and other panels.
NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville officials are looking for high school students to serve on various decision-making boards and commissions throughout the city. Students have until Sept. 16 to apply to attend regular meetings and offer feedback to specific panels.
The boards and commissions that are seeking student members include:
- Advisory Commission on Disabilities
- Building Review Board
- Downtown Advisory Commission
- Financial Advisory Board
- Historic Preservation Commission
- Housing Advisory Commission
- Naperville Public Library Board of Trustees
- Naperville Settlement Museum Board
- Planning and Zoning Commission
- Public Utilities Advisory Board
- Riverwalk Commission
- Sister Cities Commission
- Special Events Cultural Amenities Commission
- Transportation Advisory Board
According to the City of Naperville website, preference will be given to high school seniors. Students should expect to take an active role in the board for which they apply, officials said.
