Naperville Sunrise Rotary Donates To West Suburban Food Pantry
The Rotary Club pledged $2,000 with a goal of reaching $5,000 in community-wide donations for the local food pantry.
NAPERVILLE, IL — The Rotary Club of Naperville Sunrise has pledged $2,000 to the West Suburban Community Pantry. The pledge comes as part of a the club's community-wide challenge to raise more than $5,000 and thus give more than 10,000 meals to people in need during the new coronavirus crisis.
West Suburban Community Pantry has seen a 50 percent increase in need for food over the recent weeks, according to a news release. This means the need for donations is still mounting.

Laura Coyle, Executive Director of West Suburban Community Pantry, said in a statement, "The need in the community will continue to increase, and the effects will be felt for many months, if not years, for our most vulnerable neighbors. But taking care of our community is core to everything WSCP values. Now, more than ever, this is our guiding principle and our inspiration. We so appreciate everything Sunrise Rotary is doing for us!"
