Naperville Teen Killed In Chicago Shooting
Romaine Elkins, 18, of Naperville, was shot to death Friday evening in Chicago's Austin neighborhood.

NAPERVILLE, IL— A teen from Naperville was shot and killed Friday in Chicago. Romaine Elkins, 18, of Naperville, was shot in the 1500 block of North Linder in Chicago's Austin neighborhood, according to Chicago Sun-Times.
At approximately 5:15 p.m., a dark-colored SUV reportedly approached Elkins as he stood on Linder Avenue. The individuals in the vehicle began firing toward Elkins and he was shot in the chest. Chicago Sun-Times reports that Elkins was rushed to Loyola University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly before 6 p.m.
The assailants reportedly fled west down Le Moyne after shooting Elkins. They then collided with another vehicle before continuing to flee. As of early Saturday, there have been no arrests in the incident.
