Naperville Theater Owner Faces Charges for Failing to Pay $1.3 Million in State Taxes
A $250,000 bond has been set for Edward C. "Ted" Bulthaup, owner of the Hollywood Palms in Naperville.

A Naperville theater owner was arrested this past week over accusations that he evaded payment for at least $1.3 million in state taxes.
Edward C. “Ted” Bulthaup, owner of the Hollywood Palms in Naperville, has been charged with more than 100 counts of felony tax evasion, fraud and failing to file tax returns and his bond has been set at $250,000, the Chicago Tribune reports.
The 57-year-old Woodridge man also owned and operated the Hollywood Blvd. theater in Woodridge through February of this year and is accused of failing to report taxes for his two theaters between 2009 and 2013, according to media reports.

Bulthaup last made headlines in 2011 when he filed a civil suit against adult film actress Jenna Jameson stating she failed to make a promotional appearance at the theater that she was paid to do, the Chicago Tribune reports. He won the suit and was awarded $92,000.
