Naperville Women's March Canceled: Report
The event was scheduled for Sunday. Instead, a candidate meet-and-greet will happen in Wheaton.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville Women's March Action has canceled its plans for a march in downtown Naperville on Sunday, according to the Chicago Tribune. The event was to take place a day after the Women's Women's March on Chicago, a "March to the Polls" held one year after the inaugural event that drew 250,000 people. The 2018 Women's March on Chicago reportedly drew even more attendees, with organizers estimating the turnout at 300,000 as of early Saturday afternoon.
Organizers for the Naperville event told the Tribune they instead decided to roll their event into the Chicago march.
Naperville organizer Anne Stava-Murray told the paper she created a placeholder event on social media but removed it after plans for a Naperville march were scrapped.

However, a Facebook event for the Women's March Naperville 2018 remained online, with 12 people marked as "going" and 34 as "interested" as of Saturday afternoon. The Facebook event showed no indication that the Naperville march is canceled.
The event description reads: "To celebrate our one-year anniversary, Napervile Women’s March Action will host a local candidate event in Downtown Naperville IL. Together, we will show that women are not backing down... we’re stepping up. We’re running for office at unprecedented levels and we’re going to solve problems together - from DuPage county to Springfield to D.C. "
