Naperville Works To Address Speeding Concerns On Gartner Road: Report

Naperville officials are considering using more speed limit signage, street markings and other methods to help curb speeding on Gartner.

NAPERVILLE, IL — The Naperville officials are weighing measures to help curb speeding along Gartner Road, Chicago Tribune reports.

The proposed changes would add speed limit signage and roadway markings to deter drivers from exceeding the 25 mph speed limit as they make their way between Charles Avenue and Washington Street on Gartner.

The proposals come following an investigation by Naperville's Transportation Advisory Board following ongoing complaints from residents. Some of these residents also pushed for an all-way stop sign at the intersection of Julian and Gartner, but that did not line up with Naperville's guidelines, according to Chicago Tribune.
