Naperville Works To Keep Roads Plowed After 9 Days Of Snow

After nine straight days of snow dozens of plows, trucks, and contractors still work to keep streets safe.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Nine straight days of "measurable snow" have kept Naperville snow crews working all day Sunday to remove slush and snow from the city's main streets, residential streets, and cul de sacs. City officials said 23 large plow trucks and 12 pickup trucks, along with 40 contractors were still combating the snow accumulation.

The contractors are focusing on clearing courts and cul de sacs, a process that could take up to 15 hours, according to a release from city officials early Sunday.

Officials expect the cleanup to be finished by 10:30 p.m.
