Nearly 50 Tickets Doled Out During Recent Crackdown In Naperville

Naperville police gave out dozens of tickets during a crackdown on impaired and distracted driving before and after New Year's Eve.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Naperville police doled out nearly 50 traffic tickets in a recent crackdown that took place during the winter holiday season.

The following citations were issued between Dec. 18 and Jan. 3:

  • 34 safety belt citations
  • Two citations for driving with no license or a license that has been suspended or revoked
  • Eight speeding citations
  • Two aggravated speeding citations
  • Two citations for distracted driving

During this most recent traffic enforcement campaign, Naperville police increased patrols during late-night hours, when fatalities are more likely to occur due to impaired driving or driving without a seatbelt, the police department said in a Tweet.
