Neuqua Valley Cheerleading Squad Competes at State

The Neuqua Valley cheerleading team walked away from this weekend’s state competition with a third-place finish.

The third-place finish comes a week after the Neuqua Valley dance team was named state champions at last weekend’s competition.

The Neuqua Valley cheerleading squad competed against other large teams in the state. Lincoln-Way placed first at the state competition and Lockport Township High School finished in second place, according to the Illinois High School Association website.

Buffalo Grove was named state champions among co-ed teams and the Hampshire High School cheer squad placed first among medium teams.
