Noon Whistle Brewing Taps Naperville For Next Location

The award-winning Lombard brewing company is hoping to open a taproom and on-site brewery in Naperville.

NAPERVILLE, IL — Beer fans in Naperville will get a real treat if Noon Whistle Brewing has its way. The Lombard-based brewery is hoping to grow its footprint by building a brewery and taproom in Naperville, according to Chicago Tribune.

Noon Whistle Brewery may face a roadblock in its development plans, though. Currently, Naperville has a limit on licenses for breweries and taprooms. Those licenses are currently held by Two Fools Cider and Solemn Oath Brewery, Chicago Tribune reports. To open its taproom and brewery in Naperville, Noon Whistle would have to get the city's liquor commission to agree to add another license.

They'll present that proposal at an official meeting Thursday.

Noon Whistle told Chicago Tribune that they're still in the early stages of this next project, so details are limited. If Noon Whistle comes to Naperville as it plans, residents can expect a full brewery that crafts beers to be enjoyed on-site or in your home.

Since opening in Lombard in 2014, Noon Whistle Brewing has taken home awards for its Bernie Milk Stout and has been featured during Chicago Craft Beer Week. Their popular and inventive brews include a passionfruit Berliner Weiss, a cranberry mint Saison, and a barrel-aged Scotch Ale.
