Noose On Tree Prompts Investigation At Scullen Middle School: Report
An investigation is underway after a noose was found at Scullen Middle School Thursday, according to Daily Herald.

NAPERVILLE, IL — An investigation is underway after a noose was spotted in a tree outside Scullen Middle School, Daily Herald reports.
In an update to community members, Scullen Principal Scott Loughrige wrote, in part,
I write to you with a heavy heart following the news of the incident that occurred on our campus this week. Please know that Scullen and District 204 are taking this very seriously, and we are deeply concerned about this issue. The emotional and physical safety of our students is of the utmost importance, and we are committed to fostering an environment where every child feels welcome, secure, and respected.
Loughrige added that the middle school plans to hold "school-wide lessons next week that will include supportive discussions, education on empathy and cultural awareness, and guidance on how our Scullen Sharks can serve as upstanders in doing what is right to make all students feel welcome and safe in our school."
